Critics weren’t all that kind, giving it a 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences were much more forgiving, pushing the score up to a solid 80%. Wahlberg himself spoke about the film’s lasting appeal in a 2013 interview with Hollywood.com, saying he hoped it would “inspire people to want to go out there and vote and do something.”
