Halle Bailey has initiated legal proceedings against her former partner, DDG, following a series of troubling incidents.

The star of the critically acclaimed Little Mermaid film, who is the mother of a 17-month-old son named Halo with the rapper known for his hit song “Moonwalking in Calabasas,” was granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order on May 13. This legal action was documented in legal papers obtained by E! News.

In her request submitted to the Los Angeles court, Halle recounted a violent altercation that took place in January. During this incident, DDG, whose real name is Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., allegedly assaulted her by slamming her face against the steering wheel of his car. This brutal act resulted in visible injuries, including bruises on her arm and a chipped tooth, as evidenced by photos included in the legal documents.

“I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain,” she mentioned in the restraining order, emphasizing the serious nature of the violence she endured. Furthermore, she expressed concern about DDG’s lack of awareness regarding the impact of his actions on their child, Halo, stating, “Darryl lacks an understanding of how his actions impact Halo. He is often verbally abusive towards me in front of Halo.”

Halle also detailed several other alarming incidents involving DDG. One notable event occurred in March when she received a “threatening text” from him after he allegedly entered her home without her consent while she was away. Shortly after this, he reportedly locked her out of her house and took her phone, driving off and discarding it out of his car window, further illustrating his unpredictable and aggressive behavior.
