The 24 star was arrested on Jan. 12 after being accused of assaulting his ride-share driver in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC4 and TMZ.
Officers said they responded to a call after midnight about an alleged assault involving a ride-share driver in the Hollywood neighborhood of the city, per the outlets. When they arrived on the scene, Sutherland was identified as the suspect and accused of attacking the driver after getting into the vehicle.
No injuries requiring medical attention were reported at the time, and the 59-year-old was taken into custody on suspicion of felony criminal threats shortly after, police told NBC4.
After being booked at 4:23 a.m., Sutherland was released from custody over six hours later on $50,000 bond, according to arrest records viewed by E! News Jan. 13. An initial court date was set for Feb. 2, per the records.
E! News reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department, as well as a rep for Sutherland, for comment but has not heard back.
