First-look images from the upcoming comedy crime thriller Drag feature John Stamos and Lizzy Caplan.
The film is set to premiere at SXSW 2026, telling the story of two sisters whose robbery of a rural home in upstate New York goes wrong when one of them injures her back and is left unable to move on the second floor. Chaos ensues as the robbers embark on a painful journey to escape the house before the homeowner returns. Alongside Caplan and Stamos, the cast includes Lucy DeVito and Christine Ko.
Now, ahead of the SXSW premiere, ScreenRant can exclusively present new images from Drag. They feature Caplan sprawled on the floor with a shocked expression and sitting in a bathtub, Stamos smiling while seated in front of several art pieces, and Ko holding a glass of wine. Caplan is coming off a different kind of crime thriller film, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, which was released in theaters in November 2025. She joined the franchise in the second film, Now You See Me 2, becoming a member of the Horsemen magicians who execute elaborate heists in the absence of Henley (Isla Fisher). Caplan returns as Lula in the third installment, with her appearance being concealed in the marketing to surprise viewers. On television, she starred in Netflix’s 2025 political thriller miniseries Zero Day, where she plays Alexandra Mullen, a member of Congress and daughter of Robert De Niro’s character, former U.S. President George Mullen.
As for Drag‘s other stars, Stamos is best known for his role as Uncle Jesse in the sitcoms Full House and Fuller House, but has more recently appeared in Apple TV’s Palm Royale and will be featured in Netflix’s The Hunting Wives season 2. DeVito has appeared in Melissa & Joey, Deadbeat, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, while Ko can be seen in Only Murders in the Building, The Handmaid’s Tale, and CBS’ Ghosts.
Drag is directed by Raviv Ullman & Greg Yagolnitzer and produced by Jake DeVito, Lucy DeVito, Danny DeVito for Jersey Films 2nd Avenue, with music by Patrick Stump. The movie’s actors and producers all have experience across various comedy genres, which can create a unique blend of humor within this crime thriller where a back injury becomes a significant obstacle during a heist.
