Rod Stewart Cancels U.S. Tour Dates Over Health Issues

The legendary Rod Stewart has made the difficult decision to cancel several upcoming U.S. tour dates as he prioritizes his recovery from a persistent bout of the flu.

On Saturday, June 7, the 80-year-old music icon took to social media to announce the cancellation of four concerts and the rescheduling of two others, citing ongoing health concerns as the reason for these changes.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Sir Rod expressed, “I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu.” He went on to apologize, stating, “So sorry my friends. I’m devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans. I’ll be back on stage and will see you soon.”

Among the canceled performances are three shows scheduled for June 7, 8, and 10, all part of his highly popular Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Additionally, a show in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, on June 14 has also been canceled. However, two concerts in California—one in Rancho Mirage on June 12 and another in Paso Robles on June 15—have been successfully rescheduled for September 20 and 21, respectively.

Just earlier that week, Stewart, who was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards in May, had already postponed his shows on June 1 and June 5 at Caesars Palace due to an unspecified illness, emphasizing his commitment to health and well-being.

Looking ahead, the iconic singer known for hits like “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” is set to return to his home country, the U.K., for a highly anticipated appearance on the prestigious Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29. During this performance, he will reunite with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, marking a nostalgic moment for fans as they revive their classic band, Faces, from the 1960s and 1970s.

Other notable headliners for the 2025 Glastonbury Festival include popular artists such as The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, ensuring a star-studded lineup that is sure to attract large audiences.

After his appearance at Glastonbury, Stewart plans to return to North America in July, where he will perform across various venues in the U.S. and Canada. Following these performances, he will resume his Las Vegas residency later in September, followed by a series of concerts in South America before wrapping up the year with performances in Europe.
