During Charli‘s surprise appearance, which drew lots of screams from the live studio audience, she stepped out in a signature look of a leather skirt, black sheer tights and boots, with a pair of sunglasses.
Many fans, though, took note of her t-shirt and declared that Role Model has picked sides in a rumored feud between Charli and Taylor Swift.
Charli wore a shirt that read “Max’s Kansas City,” which fans are taking as a hit at Taylor, who spends a lot of her time in Kansas City with fiancé Travis Kelce.
Fans theorized that Taylor‘s new song “Actually Romantic” from her album The Life of a Showgirl is about Charli, and the “Opalite” singer explained the true meaning of the song.
If you didn’t know, Charli just got married to George Daniel, who is a The 1975 bandmate of Taylor‘s ex Matty Healy.
It is also to note that Role Model‘s last album, released in July 2024, is titled Kansas Anymore, so the t-shirt could just be a nod to that.
