Netflix has released the official trailer for Run Away, an upcoming mystery series based on a novel by Harlan Coben.

“Simon had the perfect life: a loving wife and kids, a great job, and a beautiful home. But then his eldest daughter, Paige, ran away, and everything fell apart,” the Netflix synopsis reads. “So now when he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home. But it turns out she’s not alone, and an argument escalates into shocking violence. In the aftermath, Simon loses his daughter all over again, and his search to find her will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.”

What happens in the Run Away trailer?

How far will you go to bring her back? That question is at the heart of Run Away. James Nesbitt stars as Simon Greene, a father who will do anything to find his daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange). After Paige’s disappearance, Simon sees her in a drug-induced state, leading her to run away again.

Simon’s search puts him in the crosshairs of Elena Ravenscroft (Ruth Jones), a private investigator who is also looking for Paige. When a murder investigation threatens his livelihood, Simon fights to expose the truth, even if these secrets could tear his family apart.

“We just need to find her and bring her home,” Simon says at the end of the trailer.

Run Away’s ensemble includes Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, Jon Pointing, Adrian Greensmith, Ellie Henry, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Annette Badland, Ingrid Oliver, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Finty Williams, Joe McGann, and Amy Gledhill.

Run Away premieres on January 1, 2026. All eight episodes will stream on Netflix.
