Sami Sheen has bravely recounted a frightening experience that occurred during a recent outing with a friend, highlighting the importance of vigilance.
On Monday, August 4, the 21-year-old social media influencer took to TikTok to reveal that she “almost became a victim of sex trafficking.”
“Bro, I think I almost got sex-trafficked tonight. My friend and I were at this restaurant pretty late; we didn’t leave until midnight,” Sami shared. “As we were leaving, we found ourselves in the parking lot taking pictures.”
Continue reading to uncover more details of Sami’s alarming experience…Sami, the daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, continued by explaining how she and her friend were snapping photos for “perhaps five minutes” before a man approached them unexpectedly.
“Out of nowhere, this man came up to us asking for money,” she recounted. “I responded, ‘Sorry, I don’t have any cash on me,’ because I genuinely don’t carry cash.”
After politely declining the man’s request, he insisted that Sami send him money via Venmo or Zelle.
“He was being quite persistent, and I reiterated, ‘I’m sorry, no,’ to which he responded, ‘OK, have a good night,’” Sami explained. “However, as I turned my head, I noticed another man standing directly in front of us.”
Upon encountering this second man, Sami described feeling an overwhelming sense of unease and the “worst feeling” in her stomach. She glanced at her friend and noticed that she was visibly shaken, sharing the same apprehension.
The second man proceeded to ask Sami and her friend if they spoke Spanish, which they do not.
“He was asking other questions, but I couldn’t grasp what he was saying, and then he [started] reached into his back pocket,” Sami alleged. “In response, I quickly reached into my purse and pulled out my pepper spray. I opened that b-tch.”
While they never discovered what the man was reaching for, Sami and her friend made the decision to head to her car and secure the doors.
“We discussed the entire situation throughout our drive home because it felt so strange. I truly believe they were working together; I just don’t know how,” Sami said. “As we reviewed the photos, we realized that this man had been keeping an eye on us the whole time.”
She pointed out that the man appeared in several pictures that she and her friend had taken, clearly watching them from a distance.
“I usually maintain a high level of awareness regarding my surroundings, and I did not notice this man at all,” Sami concluded. “So I guess this is your sign to be even more vigilant, more cautious, and to trust your instincts because even if it was harmless, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.”
