Savannah Guthrie is being candid about a party mishap.

The Today co-anchor admitted to getting a bit too lively during a holiday gathering, revealing to Jenna Bush Hager that she “spanked” a network correspondent during the festivities.

This revelation occurred during the Dec. 23 episode of Jenna & Friends, where the duo responded to questions submitted by fans, and Savannah encountered a question that resonated with her.

“My office holiday party is in a few days,” the 53-year-old read from the inquiry. “My work bestie Jackie is usually ‘over-served’ and becomes inappropriately flirty at these events. Last year, she was hanging all over our boss and she doesn’t remember it at all. Should I say something ahead of time or roll the dice?”

After Jenna, 44, humorously asked producers if they had submitted the question themselves, Savannah remarked that she had faced a similar situation.

“I just have to say, as someone who has spanked a network correspondent at a holiday party,” she began, before clarifying that she did not make contact and was merely “air spanking.”

And while Savannah—who has been married to Michael Feldman since 2014—didn’t specify the correspondent’s name, she did mention that it was “a guy.”
