“When I first met you, he had just moved out. I feel like I might get really emotional right now; I don’t know why. I want you to get to know me and sort of clarify everything,” Kyle shared with Bozoma, as they tried to reset their relationship which had begun on rocky ground.

“The way we did it was not a typical method. I wasn’t prepared to leave. I didn’t even know if that was what I wanted to do, and then he finally moved out,” she elaborated, revealing the complexities of their separation and the emotional turmoil that accompanied it.

In a heartfelt confessional, Richards reflected, “When he finally said, I’m going to move out, it was surreal. It felt like, ‘Wow, this is really happening.’ Part of me would have preferred it if we both just stayed in our separate rooms, which isn’t practical,” illustrating her struggle to accept the reality of their separation.

“It was a strange trip because it was the first time I went without the family,” he told Kyle. “I wanted to do that and be alone to see what that feels like, to run around and make last-minute decisions,” revealing his desire for independence and self-discovery during his travels.

“Clearly in Mykonos, I was photographed at the airport. You know I would never intentionally do anything to hurt you or the kids,” he told Richards. “I truly am sorry for causing you pain.
