SDCC 2025: All Movie and TV Show Trailers Revealed

This list will be regularly updated as more San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) trailers are made available, so be sure to return frequently for the latest updates.

San Diego Comic-Con 2025 may lack some of its prominent players from previous years, yet it remains a treasure trove of new trailers and insights into some of the most anticipated movie and television releases for the upcoming year. While usual heavyweights like Marvel and DC will not have a substantial cinematic presence or presentations, numerous major Hollywood studios are still lined up for the event happening on July 24th-27th.

Interestingly, it appears that the major studios attending are seizing the opportunity presented by a year absent of major headline-grabbers, such as the casting of Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom, to spotlight their smaller yet intriguing properties. With the absence of a significant blockbuster, audiences can expect an increase in trailer releases, exclusive footage reveals, new LEGO sets, and innovative guerrilla marketing strategies that go beyond the norm.

Despite the absence of Sony, Warner Bros., and Paramount from this year’s event, the iconic Hall H panels at San Diego Comic-Con will still be the convention’s main attractions. Disney, HBO, Lionsgate, 20th Century Studios, and even first-time attendees like George Lucas will present projects such as Predator: Badlands, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Alien: Earth, and numerous others.

Some of the most exhilarating trailers anticipated at Comic-Con have already surfaced online, igniting discussions even before the event commenced. Keep visiting this page as Comic-Con progresses, as Screen Rant will provide continuous updates on the latest trailers, merchandise, and breaking news from the most significant panels.

Predator: Badlands

Discover The Latest Entry In The Iconic Sci-Fi Action Franchise

The anticipation surrounding the seventh film in the Predator franchise is already at an all-time high, especially after the announcement that it shares the same universe as the revitalized Alien franchise. Following the success of the critically acclaimed animated anthology film Predator: Killer of Killers, Predator: Badlands is set to introduce a captivating new twist to the franchise: a Predator as the main character.

Featuring Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi in the role of the outcast Dek and Elle Fanning portraying Thia, the Weyland-Yutani android who partners with him, Predator: Badlands will chronicle the journey of a young Predator during his inaugural hunt on what is described as “the most dangerous planet in the universe.” This innovative narrative direction is poised to redefine the franchise.

During the Hall H panel, director Dan Trachtenberg joined Fanning and Schuster-Koloamatangi to share insights about the filmmaking process behind Predator: Badlands. He also revealed an exciting addition to the Predator: Killer of Killers post-credits scene featuring Naru from Prey, which will be available for streaming on Hulu at 7 PM PST/10 PM EST. This addition will also showcase the franchise’s other notorious Predator-killers, Dutch and Mike Harrigan.

Alien: Earth

Experience The FX And Hulu TV Series Taking The Xenomorphs Where They’ve Never Gone Before

The recent triumph of Alien: Romulus and Prey has rekindled public fascination with the iconic sci-fi monster franchises from the 1980s, along with the anticipated crossover potential between them. Alien: Earth marks the next significant evolution in this saga, being the first television series within the Alien franchise and showcasing the unprecedented moment a Xenomorph lands on Earth.

Although series showrunner Noah Hawley has candidly stated that the series may not strictly adhere to all established lore, especially the ancient origins introduced in Prometheus, viewers can expect a blend of existential dread and graphic horror as a group of survivors confront not only a Xenomorph but also a variety of other lethal creatures from across the cosmos.

During the Hall H panel, Hawley, along with executive producer David W. Zucker and the cast, offered a sneak peek of the show’s first episode. Hawley specifically noted that there are currently no plans for the series to intersect with the Predator franchise, though fans are likely to take this with a grain of skepticism given the franchises’ intertwined histories.

The Toxic Avenger

Unveiling The Remake Of The Cult Classic Splatter Film Featuring Peter Dinklage And A Star-Studded Cast

The commercial success of ultra-violent horror films such as Terrifier 3 and The Monkey has paved the way for the greenlighting of projects like the reboot of The Toxic Avenger. The previously unrated reboot of this cult classic debuted at Fantastic Fest in 2023, and as it approaches its wide release in August 2025, the film has captured attention with a Thursday night Hall H panel.

Starring Emmy Award winner Peter Dinklage as the titular mutant hero, The Toxic Avenger chronicles the transformation of a former janitor into a mop-wielding vigilante, who battles crime and corruption in an exceptionally gory manner. The Hall H panel will feature writer/director Macon Blair alongside an impressive cast that includes Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, and Julia Davis in addition to Dinklage.

Tron: Ares

Delve Into The Third Installment In The Long-Running Cult-Turned-Mainstream Franchise

Disney successfully revived the Tron franchise with the release of Tron: Legacy in 2010, which was a modest box office success. With a hefty budget of $170 million, it generated $409.4 million worldwide, primarily benefiting from international markets. This financial success encouraged Disney to proceed with Tron: Ares, which will serve as a soft reboot rather than a direct continuation of Tron: Legacy.

Tron: Ares will also take a spot in Hall H this year, although the specifics of its presentation remain unclear. The film will fast forward into a future where the boundaries between virtual reality and the physical world blur, introducing an intelligent program named Ares (played by Jared Leto) as the first true A.I. entity to enter the real world.

Five Nights At Freddy’s 2

Get Ready For The Sequel To 2023’s Box Office-Busting Video Game Adaptation

The adaptation of the well-known video game series Five Nights at Freddy’s by Emma Tammi has emerged as one of Blumhouse’s most lucrative projects over the past five years, grossing an impressive $297 million from a modest budget of just $20 million. Despite receiving poor reviews from critics, the film, which revolves around a haunted restaurant populated by vengeful animatronic characters, proved to be more than profitable, paving the way for a sequel.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will feature returning stars Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail in lead roles, along with the returning Matthew Lillard and Piper Rubio. The panel for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is expected to showcase appearances by Hutcherson, Lail, and Lillard, who will most likely present and discuss the newly released trailer ahead of Comic-Con.

While only a limited amount of information about the plot of this supernatural horror film has been disclosed, the teaser trailer, though intriguing, lacks substantial detail.
