Selena‘s message to Steve, 80, and Martin, 75, comes after it was announced that Martin‘s daughter Katherine had died at the age of 42. Shortly after the tragic news was revealed, Katherine‘s death certificate confirmed that she had died by suicide.

Martin‘s rep released a statement after his daughter’s tragic death.

Katherine was adopted by Martin and his late wife Nancy, who died in 2010. She is survived by Martin, as well as her younger brothers, Henry and Oliver.

Our continued thoughts are with Martin Short‘s family, as well as all of Katherine‘s loved ones during this time. RIP.
