Zodiac will stream on Paramount+ soon
David Fincher’s Zodiac is coming to Paramount+ next month.
According to a report by Comicbook.com, the movie led by Robert Downey Jr. will be available on the streaming platform starting January 1, 2026.
Although Zodiac received critical acclaim, it did not perform well at the box office. Released in 2007, it is inspired by true events and draws from the books written by Robert Graysmith.
As reported by Box Office Mojo, the film had a budget of approximately $65 million. It opened with over $13.3 million in US theaters. At the domestic box office, Zodiac earned over $33 million and grossed $51.7 million internationally, bringing its total worldwide collection to $84.7 million.
Despite its underwhelming box office performance, Zodiac garnered significant praise from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a score of 90 percent on the Tomatometer based on 264 critic reviews. Conversely, it received a score of 77 percent on the Popcornmeter based on audience ratings.
In December 2023, Robert Downey Jr. reunited with Mark Ruffalo during Variety’s Actors on Actors and reflected on his experience working with David Fincher on Zodiac. He stated, “I called Fincher recently because in retrospect, everything changes.”
The Avengers: Endgame star further expressed how collaborating with Christopher Nolan on Oppenheimer helped him develop “a new respect for Fincher.” He noted that it was the first time he and Ruffalo worked under an “exacting director. A real director who does things a certain way.”
