The Sex Pistols have excitingly expanded their schedule with additional dates for their highly anticipated North American tour.
The reunited band, now featuring Frank Carter as the lead vocalist in place of original singer Johnny Rotten, is currently electrifying audiences across Europe. The core members, Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock, are set to embark on their North American leg beginning in mid-September, bringing their legendary punk energy back to the stage.
Recently, four new performance dates have been added to the band’s tour itinerary, which was initially revealed in March. These concerts will celebrate the band’s remarkable 50-year legacy and will mark the Sex Pistols‘ first shows in the U.S. since 2003, making them a must-attend event for punk rock fans.

The Sex Pistols reunited in 2024 with Frank Carter, the frontman of the UK punk outfit Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. In contrast, Johnny Rotten, also known as John Lydon, has distanced himself from his former bandmates, opting out of any recent projects, including a 2022 television series that explored the band’s iconic history.
The group plans to perform their landmark album, the 1977 classic Never Mind the Bollocks Here’s the Sex Pistols, in its entirety during the shows, alongside additional tracks recorded before their breakup in 1978. This promises a nostalgic journey through punk history.
Previous reunions in 1996, 2002, and 2007 featured Lydon, but he has expressed strong opposition to the current lineup’s activities, dismissing the concerts with Carter as “karaoke.” He candidly shared his feelings, stating, “When I first heard that the Sex Pistols were touring this year without me, it really upset me,” highlighting his deep connection to the band’s legacy.
His frustration stems from a belief that these performances threaten the very essence and purpose of what made the Sex Pistols revolutionary in the first place.
