Sinners Star Seeks Reunion with Ryan Coogler for MCU Film

One of the acclaimed cast members of Sinners has shared his thoughts about potentially joining the Black Panther 3 cast. This comes ahead of the 2026 Academy Awards, where Delroy Lindo is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as harmonica player Delta Slim in the 2025 vampire movie.

What did Delroy Lindo say about Black Panther 3?

During a recent interview with THR, when asked about his potential next movie, Lindo admitted that he is interested in reuniting with director Ryan Coogler in Black Panther 3. Coogler assured him that he would only offer a role to him if it was actually worth Lindo’s time.

“I expressed to Ryan that if the stars line up, I would love to be in Black Panther 3,” Lindo shared. “One of the things he said to me was anything that he were to offer me, he would want to be sure that it was worth my time. He didn’t say exactly that, but that’s essentially the sentiment. And I respect that.”

Last December, Coogler confirmed that he’s already deep into the development of Black Panther 3. A recent report also suggested that the studio might be planning to start the new sequel’s production on June 15, 2026, in London. Besides Letitia Wright’s Shuri, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington might also make his MCU debut in Black Panther 3 after previously teasing that Coogler was writing a part for him in the film.

Recent casting rumors also claimed that Snowfall star Damson Idris might be playing the next Black Panther. Even though the studio hasn’t confirmed anything yet, Idris was previously spotted accompanying Black Panther vet Angela Bassett at the Vogue World: Hollywood event, where the acclaimed actress was dressed as Queen Ramonda. Besides Wright, Wakanda Forever cast members Winston Duke as M’Baku and Tenoch Mejia Huerta as Namor are also set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday.
