However, her recent Instagram posts feel final as she prepares for the next phase of her life at her dream home on a North Carolina farm.
In a December 21 post, she wrote: “Leaving the show… leaving a marriage… starting over at an age where everyone expects you to have it all figured out. I kept looking at the pieces and thinking something must be wrong with me. But now, standing where I am, I can see it differently.”
Two days earlier, on December 19, she reflected on how “strange” it is for people to think they know her story without truly knowing her.
More recently, she has been sharing updates about her new property and expressing excitement about beginning her “second chapter” on the farmland.
“There’s no expiration date on becoming who you’re meant to be. Some of the most beautiful stories are written after 40, 50, 60,” Janelle wrote on December 23.
She and Kody share six children: Logan Brown, Madison Brush, Savanah Brown, Gabriel Brown, Hunter Brown, and the late Garrison Brown. Kody is currently married to Robyn Brown after the spiritual marriages to his former sister wives Janelle, Meri Brown, and Christin Brown ended.
Nothing has been confirmed about Janelle’s future on Sister Wives, but many fans are supporting her no matter what she decides.
“Leaving the show? I hope you get your own show!!! You deserve to have your own life to yourself so I shouldn’t complain,” wrote one person on her December 21 post.
Another fan added, “It’s long past time for this show to end. I wish you well with all the good things coming your way.”
Earlier this year, Janelle opened up about her sexuality.
