Slayer has just unveiled an exciting announcement regarding their upcoming live performances in 2025, featuring a pair of highly anticipated headlining concerts in the U.K. These shows will showcase an impressive lineup, including renowned bands such as Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed, and Neckbreakker. Fans of heavy metal can look forward to an unforgettable experience filled with electrifying performances.
The first of these monumental headlining events is set to occur at Blackweir Fields on July 3 in Cardiff, Wales, just three days before the much-anticipated Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham. Following that, another spectacular headlining concert is scheduled for July 6 at Finsbury Park in London, promising a thrilling night for all metal enthusiasts.
These remarkable performances mark Slayer’s only headlining shows in Europe for the year, making this an unmissable opportunity for fans, as it’s their first return to the continent in six years. The excitement surrounding their comeback is palpable, and the anticipation is building among their dedicated fanbase.
In addition to Slayer’s concerts, the Back to the Beginning event is being promoted as a unique Black Sabbath reunion, which will feature the legendary Ozzy Osbourne in what is being billed as his final live performance. This once-in-a-lifetime event will include a star-studded lineup, with special guests such as Slayer, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, Mastodon, Anthrax, and many more iconic acts, making it a must-see for metal fans.

Since concluding their farewell tour on November 30, 2019, Slayer has not performed outside of North America, making these upcoming shows an exceptional opportunity for headbangers in the U.K. and Europe to experience their legendary performances once again. The excitement surrounding these concerts is amplified, as fans eagerly anticipate the band’s return to the stage.
While Slayer has made a brief return to live performances at a couple of U.S. festivals last year, and with five additional shows scheduled for 2025, fans should temper their expectations regarding a full-scale return to touring and recording. Kerry King, who launched his debut solo album From Hell I Rise in 2024, has consistently emphasized that the band has concluded their touring and recording activities, making these shows all the more precious.
As we cherish these fleeting opportunities to witness the ‘Big 4’ band in action, fans can mark their calendars for the two U.K. dates, as well as July 11 at a week-long festival in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, or at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 18. These performances promise to deliver an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
