By reuniting Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa with Studio Bones, this two-cour anime trades classic alchemy for a modern supernatural combat system centered around paired spirits called Daemons.
The plot follows Yuru, a boy who grew up in a very isolated, traditional village whose peaceful life is completely changed by a sudden raid from modern tactical forces. This violent ambush drags him directly into a modern urban war right alongside his estranged twin sister, Asa.
Since Arakawa and Studio Bones already have such a legendary track record together, fans know this anime is in great hands.
The studio already understands how to bring her unique character designs and grounded fighting styles to life on screen, which easily makes this one a sure-fire hit on the spring anime calendar.

The biggest hurdle for most romance anime is figuring out where the story goes after the main characters finally start dating. Luckily, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten does not really have to worry about that issue at all.
After dedicating its first season to slowly growing a very sweet bond between Amane and Mahiru, the finale rewarded fans by officially making them a couple. Heading into the second season, the anime no longer needs to drag out that usual awkward phase before a confession just to keep viewers interested.
Since the series has always been about cute, relaxing daily interactions rather than unnecessary drama, watching them figure out how to be in a real relationship is going to be a great switch-up for the romance genre.
