Change is in the air at Vogue HQ in Downtown New York, now that Chloe Malle is sitting comfortably as the American fashion bible’s head of editorial content. Malle succeeded the long-serving Anna Wintour (who remains as Vogue’s global editorial director) back in June, and Malle’s first official print issue is here. Having cut the frequency to just eight print magazine issues a year, Rosalía stars on the Spring 2026 cover of Vogue. Malle commissioned the photographer Alasdair McLellan to profile the Spanish singer-songwriter, with Carlos Nazario reporting for styling duties. In the sun-lit cover shot, the Grammy Award-winning talent poses on a beach in Los Angeles, California, wearing a ruffled creation from Jonathan Anderson’s debut Spring 2026 Christian Dior Haute Couture collection – presented on the runway just mere weeks ago.

However, not everyone was so forthcoming. “This is perfectly fine but does not feel like a new era is being ushered in,” critiqued Lucien112.
“Nothing groundbreaking or interesting,” Kimy Jo shared.
“Not at all surprised to see Malle commission such a quintessential American Vogue cover. Must admit that I feel quite a sense of relief at seeing something so… familiar-looking. The motto ‘if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it’ springs to mind. This is an undeniably beautiful cover, and I’m not even a Rosalía fan,” vogue28 confessed.
