Among the Star Wars community, there is a lively debate regarding the best way to enjoy the films—whether to view them in release order or follow the chronological numbering. However, David Corenswet proposes a completely original sequence that he claims enriches the story and its emotional depth.
“If you’re going to introduce new fans to the series, the ideal way to watch them is IV, V, I, II, III, VI,” David explained during the podcast. “This method preserves the iconic twist—spoiler alert—revealing that Darth Vader is indeed his father. After that, you can experience I through III as a sort of flashback, which adds a unique layer to the narrative. Although VI may not be as strong as IV and V in terms of filmmaking quality, it serves as a spectacular culmination of the entire saga. Having seen I through III adds greater stakes to the final act, creating a richer story arc.”
