Steam Offers Hit 2024 Game Free Until February 2

If you’re looking for something new to play on Steam, a 2024 classic with Very Positive reviews has just been made completely free to download and check out, but you only have until February 2 to get your hands on it.

It’s been a strong start to 2026 on Steam, with a slew of new free releases and some really strong indie titles that might have passed you by. With some of the bigger titles yet to be released, now is the perfect time to turn your attention to those smaller games that will inevitably be devoured by the incoming titan that is GTA 6.

Hellcard Is Free On Steam For Six Days

Grab it while you still can

hellcard

Developed by Thing Trunk and released back in 2024, Hellcard is currently completely free on Steam. This is a unique cooperative deck builder rogue-like in which you explore dungeons and take part in “fast-paced tactical card battles.” The game will remain free until 6pm local time on February 2, so you’d best get moving.

Here’s what the developer has to say:

“Hellcard is a cooperative roguelike deckbuilder that can be played in both Single-player and Multiplayer modes. The game takes place in the paper dungeons known from Book of Demons, and its main mechanics revolve around deckbuilding and fast-paced tactical card battles. What makes HELLCARD unique and different from other deck-building games is that monster placement actually matters and can be used to your advantage.”

Oh, and to be clear, this game is not free to keep, it's just free to play until the cutoff date. However, if you do choose to buy the game after February 2, any progress you made will carry over, since over the next week what you have access to is the full game with no restrictions or limitations.

Steam Has A Few Other Limited-Time Freebies Right Now

You don’t have forever

If Hellcard doesn’t quite tickle your proverbial pickle, there are a bunch of other limited-time freebies available on Steam right now. There’s the fantasy RPG Wayfinder, which is free to play until January 29. Then there’s Cursedland, which is free to download and keep for the next five days. Finally, there’s Kiki, although this last game has pretty negative reviews, so you might be best steering clear.

There are new free games and limited-time deals being added to Steam all the time, so be sure to check back again soon for the next batch of freebies.
