Stellar 2-Part Fantasy Remake Dominates Netflix Streaming

Netflix doesn’t achieve global #1 status by chance. This pirate epic demonstrates precisely why that is the case. This Pirates of the Caribbean alternative is a ship-crew fantasy filled with constant momentum, vibrant humor, and battles that resemble immersive cinematic set pieces. Furthermore, Netflix’s own weekly data has credited it with 136.2 million hours viewed in a recent reporting window, indicating it is a franchise-scale performer.

According to FlixPatrol, the show is ranked #1 in a vast array of countries, including major markets such as India, Pakistan, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal, along with many others. In several territories, it’s not just competing; it’s dominating the top spot: Austria has been #1 every day from March 14 to today, the UK holds #2 today, and the U.S. remains at #3 today while still outperforming most of the platform’s newer offerings. Even where it isn’t #1, it consistently resides in the top tier (#2–#4), which signifies a show being watched globally rather than merely sampled. One Piece‘s biggest rival at present is another anime; notably, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has unexpectedly taken the #1 global position on Netflix.

The title behind this success is One Piece, Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga series. It has been 10 days since Season 2 was released on March 10, 2026, following a nearly three-year wait (with Season 1 debuting in August 2023). Based on viewing statistics, the show’s ranking surge is not anticipated to slow down anytime soon.

Casting (Re)Directors — The Collider TV Quiz!

When a new actor takes over an existing role, audiences can be wary. On this first day of spring, let’s look at some characters who got fresh starts.

‘One Piece’ Season 2 Starts Off With a Bang and Ends on a Calmer Note

One Piece Season 2 accelerates immediately as the crew enters the Grand Line. The sea transforms from a mere route into a living trap with its own rules, storms, and dangers. Then Little Garden opens up a prehistoric world where giants and dinosaurs reign.

This thrilling moment is coupled with Roronoa Zoro’s (Mackenyu) intense 100-kill fight as the hook. However, after this adrenaline rush, the narrative intentionally softens when they encounter Tony Tony Chopper (Mikaela Hoover). In contrast to Season 1’s relentless recruitment pace, Season 2 feels more mature and earns that evolution after the long wait, setting up an even stronger Season 3.

One Piece is currently trending globally on Netflix for good reason. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
