“Greetings, esteemed outcasts, and welcome back to the mystical halls of Nevermore Academy,” Steve begins in the video. “I’m your newly appointed principal, Barry Dort. Last year, this esteemed institution, this haven for the unconventional, faced unprecedented challenges, largely due to my predecessor, Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie). Her misguided allegiance to the mundane was catastrophic, but I embrace every chance to rectify her mistakes.”
“This year, my mission is to restore Nevermore to its past splendor by welcoming a fresh group of enthusiastic young outcasts. Take, for instance, this freshman who is still discovering how to harness his unique outcast abilities,” he adds, showcasing Isaac Ordonez in the role of Pugsley Addams.
Other notable cast members featured in the teaser include the talented Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday, who are sure to bring their own magic to the series.
“I’ve been a lifelong admirer of the Addams Family—whether it’s the iconic movies, the classic TV show, or the contemporary series Wednesday. So when I learned they were interested in casting me as the new principal of Nevermore, I was absolutely thrilled,” Steve expressed in an interview with Tudum. “Barry Dort is a complex and somewhat mysterious character. There’s something off about him, yet he possesses a genuine love for the school and embodies true outcast pride.”
