    Despite speculation of a rift between the Stranger Things co-stars, the duo appeared joyful as they arrived together at the Netflix series’ season five premiere in Los Angeles on Nov. 6.

    David and Millie—both dressed in all-black outfits—demonstrated their close bond as they walked the carpet together, sharing multiple laughs while posing for photos. The 50-year-old even playfully referenced the Godzilla: King of the Monsters actress’ husband Jake Bongiovi while joking with the photographers.

    “Am I as handsome as Jake?” David asked in footage captured by E! News, causing Millie, 21, to laugh and lean in closer. He joked, “I’m not. It’s not my fault. It’s just genetics.”

    Meanwhile, their Stranger Things co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink and Gaten Matarazzo all posed together elsewhere on the carpet.
