In other words, his love for his kids comes with no strings attached—even when they leave him and his bride of 13 years feeling as if they could cry themselves a river.
“I woke up this morning and my son looked at me and said, ‘You look old,'” the 7th Heaven alum, 43, revealed in an August TikTok. “That’s what I got this morning, and I was trying to figure out how to respond.”
So, she went with something straightforward—”I said, ‘Oh well, that’s OK. We’re all getting older. You’re gonna get older, I’m gonna get older'”—but the exchange left her a bit in her feelings.
“It really got me thinking—wow, life is moving fast and grandma days might be shortly on the horizon,” she acknowledged. And it made her recommit to relishing in the mundane.
“Let your kid ride his Tonka truck all up and down the dirt road as long as he wants to because one day,” she mused, “you’re gonna be a grandma.”
She’s got no choice babe, but to move on. And you know there ain’t no time to waste. In the meantime, though, she’s going to soak up every moment of being Mom.
