You’ll get locked into The Housemaid starting with the very first trailer.

Fans of the best-selling thriller by Freida McFadden don’t have to wait any longer to catch a glimpse of Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried as fictional maid Millie and her wealthy employer Nina in the upcoming movie adaptation, as the Lionsgate trailer dropped Sept. 16.

Despite Amanda’s Nina saying to Sydney’s Millie in the trailer, “I want you to feel safe here,” feeling safe looks to prove increasingly challenging—as montages of screaming, bloody shards of glass and chaos ensue.

Later, Millie says in a voiceover, “I need this job. I can’t lose it, I don’t want to go back.”

But at what cost she’ll keep this job remains to be seen. After all, the preview—which also features costars Brandon Sklenar and Michele Morrone—is just a taste of the madness in the film, out in theaters Dec. 19.

“There’s a lot of twists and turns, upside downs,” Sydney told Entertainment Tonight in a joint interview with the cast published Sept. 11, with Amanda adding, “This whole story is a little bit crazier than you would’ve read.”
