SZA Expresses Gratitude to Kendrick Lamar for Tour Support

SZA has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Kendrick Lamar for inviting her to join him on the remarkable Grand National tour, a journey that has left a lasting impact on her career. The TDE artist has recently concluded her segment of this record-breaking tour, and she is overflowing with appreciation for her long-time friend and talented collaborator.

In a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram Stories, she reflected, “This tour was the craziest, most once-in-a-lifetime experience I’ve ever had. It felt like all my childhood dreams came together in one incredible moment… WHAT WAS THAT? Lmao, I can hardly find the words. A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this to life, especially Kendrick Lamar.”

Additionally, SZA took a moment to honor Kendrick during their on-stage performance together in June, further showcasing their deep bond and mutual respect.

Overcome with emotion, SZA shared, “He introduced me to the biggest moment of my life. This tour is also a monumental highlight for me… I am incredibly grateful, and I appreciate all of you.”

The two artists, who collaborated on the project “Luther,” shared a warm embrace before continuing their performance, a testament to their strong friendship.

Previously, SZA opened up about her apprehensions regarding the co-headlining tour with the rap legend. During an enlightening conversation with Chappell Roan for Interview Magazine, SZA candidly revealed her struggles with anxiety.

She admitted, “Every time I had to step on stage or walk a red carpet, I would experience full-blown panic attacks. There were times I chose not to attend events because I felt like, ‘I’m never going to win. No one cares that I’m here. Why should I go?’”

These feelings of anxiety carried over to her experience on the tour with Kendrick. She remarked, “The same insecurity crept in during the Kendrick tour. I thought, ‘Everyone is here to see Kendrick. I’m not sure I have anything to offer that feels exciting or new.’”

However, the “Kill Bill” superstar expressed that she is now in a better place: “Now, it’s just like, ‘Forget it. I have nothing else on my plate, and I want to see where this opportunity takes me.’ I am eager to walk through this door and explore the possibilities that lie in the unknown.”

Recently, Kendrick has announced additional stadium dates for the tour as it heads to Australia, where he will be joined by the talented Doechii.
