Taylor Lautner Reacts to Travis Kelce Engagement News

Taylor Lautner is happy that Taylor Swift found her end game.

The Twilight star, who briefly dated the Grammy winner in 2009, expressed his support for the bride-to-be by reposting a message celebrating the news of Taylor and Travis Kelce‘s engagement, which they announced earlier the same day in a joint Instagram post.

In the repost originally shared to the NFL’s Instagram on August 26, a photo from Taylor and Travis’ engagement was displayed alongside a picture of their special moment together on the field after Travis won the AFC Championships in January 2024. Above the side-by-side images, the football account included Taylor’s sweet quote to Travis at that time, stating, “I can’t believe this is happening.”

The NFL captioned the post, “same.”

While the singer wrote the heartfelt “Back to December” about their relationship over a decade ago, the exes have maintained a friendship over the years.

“Obviously every relationship is different,” Lautner—now married to Tay (Dome) Lautner—told Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper during a podcast episode in December 2023. “I think when you respect somebody for who they are in their soul, it allows you to move on, forgive, and continue that love in a different way. And thankfully we had that. So after things ended between us—we were so young, I was 18 she was 20, 21—we stayed friendly; we would see each other now and then.”
