Lady Gaga is performing “The Dead Dance” live!

The Artist of the Year winner delivered an incredible performance of “Abracadabra” and her latest song, which is featured in Netflix‘s Wednesday Season 2 (where she also makes a cameo!), at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (September 7) at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.

Gaga was briefly at the VMAs earlier in the evening, and even accepted her award, but she rushed to Manhattan to make it in time for her performance on The Mayhem Ball Tour in Madison Square Garden!

This performance was reportedly prerecorded one night before on Saturday (September 6), when she was also performing at Madison Square Garden.

The 2025 VMAs show aired live on CBS for the first time with LL Cool J returning to host after co-hosting in 2022. Lady Gaga leads the list of nominations this year with 12 nods and she’s part of the star-studded lineup of performers who will appear during the show.
