Recent announcements reveal that the visionary director known for his work on Oppenheimer is crafting an adaptation of the timeless epic poem by Homer.
Universal Pictures disclosed last year that “the film will bring Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX movie screens for the very first time, with a scheduled release in theaters worldwide on July 17, 2026.”
The Odyssey narrates “the decade-long odyssey of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, as he strives to return home following the fall of Troy,” as noted by GoodReads. This literary classic is believed to have been penned around the 8th or 7th century BC by Homer.
