The Office Star’s Movie Welcomes Aubrey Plaza and Susan Sarandon

Golden Globe nominee Aubrey Plaza (known for her work in The White Lotus) and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (celebrated for Thelma & Louise) are set to star in the much-anticipated magical realist film, titled The Accompanist. Joining them in a significant role is Everly Carganilla from Spy Kids: Armageddon, who has been selected to portray one of the leading characters in this intriguing cinematic venture.

This exciting project is helmed by Zach Woods, a veteran from The Office and Silicon Valley, who will be directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with his longtime collaborator Brandon Gardner. This film marks Woods’ feature-length directorial debut, following his previous work on notable short films like David (2020) and Bud (2021). Notably, David earned a nomination for the prestigious Short Film Palme d’Or at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, showcasing Woods’ talent and vision.

“Life can feel so lonely sometimes. I think it’s worth telling stories about how scary, funny, and glorious it is when we’re brave enough to try to find our way to each other in the dark,” Woods expressed in a statement, emphasizing the film’s thematic depth and emotional resonance.
