Since Tuesday, December 2, The Office’s official YouTube channel has been hosting a holiday livestream. It’s airing a Christmas-themed marathon of great moments from the NBC sitcom for free, which YouTube will continue playing 24/7 until the end of the holiday season.
This festive seasonal gift is the perfect reminder of just how special the show is at its best. It’s also an illustration of just how many great Christmas episodes The Office has to offer us. From its second season onwards, the series made cringingly hilarious holiday episodes an annual tradition at Dunder Mifflin Scranton.
The most outstanding of these episodes are among the best holiday specials of any sitcom in TV history. What’s more, no other show in modern times can compete with The Office’s bumper collection of Christmas classics overall. Not even The Simpsons has packed quite so many festive favorites into a single decade of television.
The Office Is Running A 24/7 Holiday Livestream On YouTube
If you’ve already exhausted every new Christmas movie and TV show out there in December 2025, it might be time to return to some tried and tested holiday classics. Luckily, The Office has made its funniest Christmas moments and more free to view on YouTube for the whole of December, via an ongoing holiday stream.
This 24/7 livestream of The Office features a carefully curated selection of scenes from both holiday and regular episodes of the show, allowing you to get into the festive spirit while enjoying one of the 21st century’s greatest sitcoms in a different way.
YouTube’s Holiday Livestream Features Moments From All 7 Christmas Episodes Of The Office
While the stream isn’t showing whole episodes in their entirety from start to finish, it does include scenes from all seven of The Office’s Christmas episodes, from season 2’s “Christmas Party” to season 9’s “Dwight Christmas”. These scenes pop up in between various fan-favorite non-holiday moments from the show.
The Office’s holiday specials include two all-time great TV double-episodes, season 3’s “A Benihana Christmas” and season 7’s “Classy Christmas”. The latter episode was the last holiday special to feature Steve Carell.
Meanwhile, Dwight Schrute actor Rainn Wilson recently commented on The Office’s portrayal of racism in “A Benihana Christmas”. Wilson agreed that Michael Scott’s behavior towards two Asian women is “jaw-droppingly, kind of horrific”, but explained that the episode was intentionally made that way, to lampoon the racial insensitivity of a certain kind of white, male middle-manager.
This Livestream Proves The Office Has The Best Christmas Episodes Of Any Sitcom
Taken as a group, The Office’s holiday episodes are remarkably wide-ranging in tone and storylines. None of them quite makes the case for being the single best Christmas episode on TV, but as a collection they’re unmatched by any other modern sitcom. For example, the golden age of The Simpsons features just three Christmas episodes in total.
Whether it’s Michael’s insistence on being Santa Claus each year or Oscar’s priceless reaction to Angela’s rendition of “The Little Drummer Boy”, The Office has delivered us classic Christmas TV moments time and again. Whoever is responsible for livestreaming these moments to us in a fresh order throughout the holiday season, it was an inspired decision.
