The Pitt Season 2 Release Date Announced for HBO Max


HBO Max has shared a clip from The Pitt Season 2, teasing the return of ER alum Noah Wyle as Dr. Robby. The next installment will take place during the Fourth of July, ten months after the events of the Season 1 finale. For his leading performance in the first installment, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He’s also currently nominated for a Golden Globe award for Best Actor.

When is the release date for The Pitt Season 2?

The Pitt Season 2 is scheduled to start streaming on January 8, 2026, a year after the acclaimed medical drama debuted on HBO Max. Joining Wyle in the new season are returning cast members Fiona Dourif as McKay, Patrick Ball as Langdon, Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans, Taylor Dearden as Mel King, Gerran Howell as Whitaker, and Isa Briones as Santos.

The Pitt was created and executive-produced by R. Scott Gemmill. Additional cast members include Shawn Hatosy as Abbot, Amielynn Abellera as Perlah, Kristin Villanueva as Princess, Jalen Thomas Brooks as Mateo Diaz, Ayesha Harris as Ellis, Ken Kirby as Shen, and more. Season 3 will also introduce new characters, portrayed by Lawrence Robinson, Sepideh Moafi, Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, Zack Morris, Brittany Allen, Bonita Friedericy, Taylor Handley, and Jeff Kober.

In addition to leading the cast, Wyle is also serving as an executive producer. Season 1 also won four more Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Casting, Outstanding Supporting Actress for LaNasa, and Outstanding Guest Actor for Hatosy.
