Upon welcoming Tiki into her home less than a month ago, he was so terrified that he wouldn’t even leave his crate, avoiding any human interaction. However, within just a few short weeks, he has made remarkable progress, now jumping on the bed and cuddling affectionately with his foster parents, showcasing his developing trust.

In a candid interview with NBC News, Isabel shared, “That is the question I receive on every single video, and I completely understand where people are coming from. It would be a beautiful fairytale for me to adopt Tiki, but fostering is my mission. I’ve provided temporary homes for many dogs, and Tiki is my 25th foster. My goal is to rehabilitate him and find him the perfect forever home while also creating space for the next pup in need, helping inspire others to foster and adopt as well.”
Isabel is optimistic that Tiki will be ready for adoption within the coming weeks, ensuring he receives the love and attention he deserves.
“I maintain communication with most of my previous fosters. I literally text at least two of them every day,” Isabel shared with People. “They frequently send me photos, and it’s really up to the new adopters if they want to stay in touch. However, most people find my dogs through my page, and they tend to keep in contact.”
“That’s what brings me the greatest joy,” she added. “Receiving updates is wonderful. Just this morning, I got a message from a previous foster’s new family. I sincerely hope that whoever adopts Tiki will also want to stay connected.”
