Reflecting on the journey of Queen, Taylor shared in a press release prior to the ceremony: “When we started our band, we had ambitions, but we never dreamed of the incredible journey that was to unfold. We were privileged to have our four uniquely different personalities come together and create a remarkable chemistry that has stood the test of time.”

He continued, expressing gratitude for the Polar Music Prize: “This award is unique because it honors the complete body of work of an artist, rather than just focusing on a single moment. It is truly a privilege to be recognized among the illustrious ranks of past laureates. We are in exceptional company, akin to Olympians in the music world.”
