Tom Morello Claims Trump Administration Used Nazi Slogan

Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine accused the Trump Administration of using a slogan associated with Nazi ideology on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s podium during a recent press conference.

The press conference took place in New York City on January 8, the day after an ICE agent fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, to discuss the Administration’s Immigration Enforcement policies. Footage and images from the event displayed the slogan “One of ours, all of yours” on Noem’s podium.

What Did Tom Morello Accuse the Trump Administration Of?

Earlier today (January 12), Morello posted on Instagram a photo of himself holding a guitar with “Fuck Trump” written on it, alongside an image of Noem at the podium.

“… the Trump admin quoted (verbatim) the Nazi mass murder slogan, ‘One of ours, all of yours.’ Coined when an SS officer was killed and the Nazis murdered every male resident of the village in response. If there are any MAGA left after THIS, you have made an irrevocable choice,” Morello stated.

He also shared this image on his Instagram story with the caption, “Does this alarm you?”

Is ‘One of Ours, All of Yours’ Actually a Nazi Slogan?

While Morello referred to this phrase as a direct Nazi slogan, there is no historical evidence that it was used literally by Nazi forces in either German or English.

However, the phrase does reflect the Nazi policy of collective punishment, which is classified as a war crime under international law.

“No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or terrorism are prohibited,” according to the International Humanitarian Law Database.
