Prince George has officially turned 12 years old!

Kate Middleton and Prince William joyfully marked the occasion of their eldest son’s birthday by sharing a delightful new photograph showcasing the future king, who bears a striking resemblance to his father. The royal couple expressed their happiness with the caption, “Happy twelfth Birthday to Prince George!” alongside a charming image of George, who was captured outdoors wearing a stylish button-down shirt paired with a classic brown vest.

In another touching addition, the royal family shared heartwarming footage of George enjoying quality time with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The caption read, “12 today,” showcasing the close bond between the siblings.

The young royal, who was born in July 2013, has certainly grown over the years, and his parents are undoubtedly proud of their eldest son.

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has previously shared her feelings about the incredible experience of giving birth to her first child, describing it as a beautiful yet overwhelming blur of emotions.

During a February 2020 episode of the “Happy Mum Happy Baby” podcast, Middleton expressed her awe, saying, “How can the human body do this? It’s absolutely extraordinary.” Her reflections highlighted the miraculous nature of childbirth.

She elaborated that the day was particularly hot, accompanied by severe thunderstorms, which made it difficult to get much sleep. However, she was relieved that George managed to rest well, allowing her some peace during those early days.

Additionally, Middleton fondly remembered her son as a “very sweet” newborn, a sentiment that reflects the bond they share. Following George, she and William welcomed Charlotte in May 2015 and Louis in April 2018, completing their beautiful family.

Last year, when George turned 11, Middleton captured a striking new black-and-white portrait of him in a smart suit. This memorable photograph came soon after she publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis.

In a heartfelt March 2024 statement, she shared, “It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be OK.”

Notably, Middleton took a step back from her royal duties to undergo abdominal surgery in January. Since then, she has bravely battled through her treatment and has returned to the public eye as a cancer survivor.

This year, she has made headlines for several public appearances alongside her children, which include events such as Wimbledon and the Trooping the Colour ceremony, showcasing her commitment to family and royal duties.
