Taylor Swift was enchanted by Travis Kelce’s proposal. 

Over a month after “The Life of a Showgirl” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs player confirmed their engagement on Aug. 26, she provided insight into the moments before her now-fiancé popped the big question after recording her featured episode of New Heights. 

“I think for Travis the podcast was just a distraction sort of ruse to keep me from looking out the windows of the house,” Taylor explained to Jimmy Fallon during her Oct. 6 appearance on The Tonight Show. “There were blackout drapes on every single window of the whole house. I was like, ‘He is so serious about this and I really appreciate that.’”

And while Taylor assumed that Travis’ increased levels of privacy were due to her appearance and subsequent album announcement on the stream, the NFL star’s vibes were just as strange following the recording. 

“Afterward, I realized, he’s walking around nervous about the podcast,” she continued. “He’s like, ‘My heart is racing, I know how much this means to you. I really want this to be what you hoped it would be.’”
