BET has shared the official trailer for the upcoming return of Tyler Perry’s hit comedy-drama series, which has been on air since 2019. The tenth season of Sistas is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, January 7.
“Season 10 picks up with the gut-wrenching aftermath of a car bomb, and the fallout is far from over,” reads the new logline. “This season, silence is louder than words, loyalties are tested, and as each woman wrestles with the past, not everyone will make it to the other side the same.”

Who will not return in Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 10?
In addition to the Season 10 trailer release, the show has also received a major update regarding its main cast. According to Deadline, series regulars Ebony Obsidian and Novi Brown will not be reprising their respective roles as Karen and Sabrina in Sistas Season 10 after being part of the leading cast since the first installment. At the moment, it’s still unclear how the show will wrap up its two main characters’ storylines.
Sistas is written, created, and executive-produced by Perry, with Armani Ortiz directing the latest season. The show currently stars Angela Beyince, Devale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Chris Warren, and Monti Washington. Following Obsidian and Brown’s Season 10 exit, it has also been confirmed that Jordan Coleman (All American: Homecoming) and Tunde Oyeneyin (Life & Beth) have been tapped as the newest series regulars. Coleman will be playing the role of confident hairstylist Cheyenne Barnes, while Oyeneyin portrays entrepreneur Madison Truitt.
“The show follows a group of single black women as they navigate the ups and downs of modern life, which includes careers, friendships, romances, and even social media,” reads the official synopsis. “The comedy-drama features Andi Barnes, an ambitious divorce lawyer, Danni King, a funny and fearless airport employee, Karen Mott, a street-smart hair salon owner, and Sabrina Hollins, a smart and stylish bank teller. The TV show takes viewers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and moments that epitomize ‘squad goals.’”
