The news outlet reported that the father and son duo were paddling near the iconic San Isidro Lighthouse when the unexpected happened. As Dell filmed the moment, Adrián was paddling towards him when a massive humpback whale suddenly emerged, pulling both Adrián and his kayak underwater in a shocking turn of events.

After a few tense seconds, both Adrián and his kayak resurfaced. Dell, who was focused on capturing the moment on camera, called out to his son in Spanish, urging him to calmly grab hold of the kayak and swim towards him. ??I thought he had already eaten and swallowed me,? Adrián shared in a press interview. ?But I thought it was a killer whale. We had been discussing killer whales shortly before, so that thought was racing through my mind. Adrián, now 24 years old, revealed that initially, he believed he was facing death and felt an overwhelming surge of fear. He recounted, ?When I turned around, I felt a slimy texture on my face; I saw colors like dark blue and white, and something was closing in from behind that pulled me under? at that moment, I thought there was nothing I could do, that I was going to die, and I had no idea what was happening,? he added, reflecting on the harrowing experience.
