Chris Pratt is gearing up to return to one of his most significant projects, with filming slated to kick off soon — and surprisingly, it’s not the project you might expect. The Guardians of the Galaxy star discussed this exciting news with Collider’s Steve Weintraub during the promotional campaign for his latest film, The Electric State. During the conversation, Pratt confirmed that he is set to begin work on the much-anticipated second season of Prime Video’s acclaimed series, The Terminal List, which is created by David DiGilio and Antoine Fuqua. Alongside co-star Millie Bobby Brown, Pratt revealed that production on this action-packed series will start in March and is expected to continue for at least the next six months. He shared with Collider:
“I’m going to be doing the second season of Terminal List. I’m gonna be shooting that pretty much all year. We’ll start in March, and I’ll be working on that, going back and forth, family time and work time, for about six or seven months.”
The second season was greenlit by Prime Video just over two years ago, highlighting the lengthy production timelines often associated with these high-quality shows. This brings up some intriguing questions regarding Pratt’s potential roles in the upcoming films Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. Both films are set to begin shooting in London come April. However, given that Pratt will be committed to The Terminal List for the next six months, it raises the question: will he be able to participate? If he does have a role, it is likely to be minor compared to his previous significant involvement in Infinity War, where he played a central character.
The last appearance of Pratt as Peter Quill was in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. In that scene, Quill is seen reuniting with his grandfather on Earth, having stepped away from his life with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, Quill is attempting to embrace an ordinary human existence, engaging in simple activities like eating breakfast and discussing chores such as mowing the lawn. This transition hints at a new chapter in Quill’s life, but the scene concludes with an intriguing message on-screen: “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return.”
