Marvel Confirms Wolverine vs Hercules Is Coming
Recently released solicitation information indicates that in April 2026, Wolverine will confront the Greek god Hercules, who is among the strongest heroes in the Avengers universe.

We Know the Real Reason Wolverine Is Fighting Hercules
Earlier in this volume, Wolverine faced off against the sentient metal Adamantine. This unbreakable material is rooted in Greek mythology and is even stronger than adamantium.
Adamantine took offense to adamantium’s existence and began infecting anyone fused with the man-made metal, controlling their minds. While Logan resisted Adamantine’s influence and its various minions, it vowed to return—likely now possessing the body of a Greek god.
One of the only sources of Adamantine in Marvel lore until now has been Hercules’ mace. Forged by Hephaestus, this weapon cannot be cut by Wolverine’s claws and is the signature weapon of Zeus’ favored son. Given that Adamantine is described as “the primordial spirit of metal itself,” it is plausible that it could influence Hercules’ mind through his mace.
Hercules has not received the recognition he deserves in Marvel Comics, but that is about to change as he goes all out against Wolverine. If Adamantine is indeed affecting his mind, Hercules will be on a mission to kill, and with strength that has bested fellow Avengers Thor and Hulk, he is one of the few heroes who could potentially end Wolverine’s story for good.
