‘Yellowstone’ Cast Exit: Star Reveals Shocking Spoiler Details

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t watched the latest episode of Yellowstone, proceed with caution as we discuss key plot developments.

In a shocking turn of events, Dawn Olivieri, who played the role of Jamie Dutton?s love interest, Sarah Atwood, in season five of Yellowstone, met her demise in the most recent episode, leaving fans reeling.

Olivieri is now opening up about the moment she discovered her character’s fate, along with other intriguing insights.

Stay tuned for all the exciting details?

During an interview with THR, she revealed that she found out about her character?s shocking death when she first received the script for that episode. She shared her experience, saying, ?Typically, like everyone else in the industry, I read it through. Throughout my career, I often find myself portraying characters that end up meeting a tragic fate.?

Interestingly, her previous role in 1883, the acclaimed prequel to Yellowstone created by Taylor Sheridan, also ended in death for her character, Claire Dutton.

Olivieri expressed her thoughts, stating, ?Working with Taylor has been a unique experience for me; in my perspective, a character?s death simply paves the way for new opportunities. He promptly transitioned me to another project, which made the news much easier to digest. It was exciting to read the script and realize, ?Oh, I?m moving on to a different storyline now.??

Additionally, it was revealed that her character orchestrated a hit on John Dutton, portrayed by Kevin Costner, which adds a layer of complexity to her role.

When asked if she was aware of this plot twist, Olivieri candidly replied, ?Not at all! I had no idea I would transform into the most despised villain on screen. (laughs) While I was aware there was an exit plan for John, I never anticipated my character?s abrupt departure. I thought I would have a more extended arc into the next season. However, due to the rapid pacing needed to conclude various plot lines, things shifted dramatically. I genuinely feel grateful for this impactful role, as it will be remembered in the lore of the show.?
