Taylor Sheridan has produced numerous stars through his various shows over the past few years, but none have gained as much as his 1923 leading man, Brandon Sklenar. Alongside being one of the hottest names rumored to play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU, Sklenar is also set to star in several exciting new projects, including The Housemaid. Lionsgate has released the first batch of images from The Housemaid, providing a first look at Sklenar in the new thriller alongside his co-stars, Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. The film also features Michael Morrone, who appears in one of the newly released images.

The Housemaid follows a struggling woman who agrees to become the maid for a wealthy couple. Sweeney will portray the maid in the film, while Seyfried and Sklenar play the couple that takes her in. Sweeney’s character, Millie, finds herself entangled in a scandalous love triangle that reveals dark secrets and leaves all involved scrambling for power. The film is scheduled for release in theaters later this year on December 19.

The film is based on the novel by Freida McFadden, with Rebecca Sonnenshine writing the script and Paul Feig directing. Feig most recently directed Another Simple Favor, the sequel to his 2018 R-rated thriller starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, both of whom reprised their roles in the sequel. This was a significant moment for Feig, who has been openly against sequels for years. However, this hasn’t stopped fans from clamoring for a sequel to his 2015 comedy hit, Spy, which features Jason Statham at his comedic best. Feig also directed John Cena’s latest comedy with Awkwafina, titled Jackpot!.

Brandon Sklenar Is Reuniting With Taylor Sheridan for a New Movie

Sklenar was the first name attached to star in F.A.S.T., a new action movie being developed by writer Taylor Sheridan. The television giant is only writing the film and is handing off directorial duties to his long-time collaborator, Ben Richardson. It was recently announced that Sam Claflin, LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, and several other names are also attached to star in the film, which is being marketed as Sheridan’s next Sicario. F.A.S.T. reportedly follows a U.S. special forces officer who collaborates with the DEA to dismantle drug dealers connected with corrupt CIA agents.
