Pearl Jam officially launched their highly anticipated 2025 tour on Thursday evening in the vibrant city of Hollywood, Florida. Fans gathered eagerly to witness this momentous occasion, marking the band’s return to the stage after a significant hiatus.
The iconic band delivered an electrifying setlist that featured a captivating blend of fan-favorite tracks alongside songs from their latest album, Dark Matter. Concertgoers were treated to stunning renditions of classic hits, including the Byrds’ “So You Want to Be a Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” the Who’s legendary “Baba O’Riley,” and Victoria Williams’ poignant “Crazy Mary.” Frontman Eddie Vedder also showcased his talent with a heartfelt solo performance of Tom Petty’s inspirational “I Won’t Back Down.”
Prior to his tribute to Petty, Vedder shared a touching moment with the crowd, stating, “I only take this guitar out on special occasions, you see. However, knowing we were all coming down to Florida, I took it with me. This guitar was a gift from our dear friend Tom Petty. Even though he is no longer with us, it feels like he’s right here with us tonight.”
