Dannielynn Birkhead might be stepping back from public life.

The daughter of Larry Birkhead and the late Anna Nicole Smith has made it a tradition to make her annual public appearance at the Kentucky Derby with her father, but they hinted that this may be their last.

“She’s almost 20 years old and there are cooler people to hang out with [than] me,” Larry told Access Hollywood on May 2. “We’ve really done this, and it’s been a tradition, and I think it’s something that we don’t know if we’re going to do it again, ever. So this could be, like, the end of our photo book. We don’t know. But we had one hell of a scrapbook if we [don’t come back].”

Dannielynn, 19—who just completed her freshman year in college with a major in forensics—mentioned that skipping the Derby is a very real possibility for the future.

“I kind of want to step away,” she shared. “I just kind of want to focus more on school and as school ends, career choice, hang out with friends and people I love.”
