Brittney Carroll Details Her Experience and Allegations Against Ben Duerr

On February 8, Lamgoat published a statement from Carroll in which she elaborated on the allegations against Duerr. Below is her full response, which sheds light on the complexities of their relationship.

Although many of you may not know me, I owe an explanation for the video and images I shared. Ben and I have been entangled in a toxic relationship for quite some time. We?ve realized that we simply are not compatible as partners. I still love him, a feeling that may never fade, considering he is an incredible father to our child, Max. However, I must highlight that during my pregnancy with Max, I did not receive the treatment I deserved.

While I won’t delve into specifics, I want to emphasize that it involved mental abuse?a form of harm that often goes unrecognized and unaddressed. Both Ben and I have engaged in emotional abuse towards each other, even if we weren’t fully aware of it at the time. Toxic relationships often distort our perceptions and lead to cycles of pain, where blame can?t be placed solely on one person. It ultimately boils down to our incompatibility.

The only instance where Ben intentionally harmed me was during a moment of heightened emotion when he threw me across the room during a misunderstanding regarding my pregnancy. The bruises on my arms were caused by him gripping me, and the scrapes on my knees were due to my fall on the carpet. Ben struggles with respecting personal space, leading to situations where we both ended up hurt as I tried to escape the conflict. As a result, I often found it necessary to isolate myself in the bathroom for my own safety.

While pregnant, I felt the need to document our interactions to safeguard myself and our unborn child. Stress is detrimental to a developing baby, and this has been my primary concern with Ben. He often failed to acknowledge the seriousness of my pregnancy. The reason these issues are resurfacing now is that I recently discovered I am pregnant again, and I refuse to endure the same distressing cycle.

These children deserve a better environment. In a moment of desperation, I turned to the internet, hoping that people would intervene and encourage him to change, considering that none of his friends seemed willing to confront him about his behavior. It?s frustrating because people hesitate to challenge Ben due to his stature. I never intended to leave him; I wanted us to work through our issues. However, I’ve come to realize that my belief in that possibility was naive. No one could salvage our relationship, and it has culminated in a disappointing end to nearly a decade of effort. While I do have some support now, many people have reacted negatively towards me, which is disheartening. This will be my final statement on this situation; I simply wish to focus on healing.

Here is the complete message from Duerr:

Hi everyone ? I feel it?s essential to address the inquiries I?ve been receiving about Brittney Carroll (my fiancée for nearly 10 years and the mother of our children) and my situation.

I want to make it unequivocally clear that I have never abused or inflicted physical harm on any woman, particularly not the mother of my children (and certainly not during her pregnancy).

After discussions, we mutually agreed to separate and are both seeking therapy to ensure we can be the best parents possible for our two kids. We both acknowledge that the incident referred to in a video shared by her was an unfortunate accident, and we are now working together amicably for the sake of our children’s well-being.
