Aaron Rodgers Reveals Wife Brittani Approved Last NFL Season

Aaron wasn’t telling any big little lies when he announced his engagement at the February 2021 NFL Honors, sharing the news days after E! News exclusively revealed he was dating Shailene Woodley.

In fact, the actress noted they’d been together for quite some time.

“We got engaged a while ago,” she said on a February 2021 episode of The Tonight Show. “He’s, first off, just a wonderful, incredible human being, but I never thought I’d be engaged to somebody who threw balls for a living.”

Over the next year, fans got glimpses into Shailene and Aaron’s romance through photos of their vacations and dates, as well as insights the couple shared about their relationship on social media. However, in 2022, they went their separate ways.

“I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy,” she recalled to Outside in 2024 while reflecting on two years prior. “I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.”

While she didn’t go into specifics, Shailene told the outlet she’d stayed in a “toxic situation” because she was empathizing with “someone else.”

And the Divergent alum noted it was hard for her to talk about her breakup with Aaron.

“I haven’t shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry,” she added. “It was not right. But it was beautiful.”

However, Shailene said bonjour to a new romance with Emily in ParisLucas Bravo, who confirmed their romance in the spring of 2025.
