Foo Fighters have stepped into fill-in mode once again, agreeing to open for AC/DC this Friday (October 2) after the band had to reschedule their performance last weekend due to severe weather from a nor’easter along the East Coast.

The show will now occur on October 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Foo Fighters proudly announced their participation with a social media post that states, “Let there be rock @metlifestadium! See you October 2nd with @acdc!!!”

What Happened With The Pretty Reckless?

The Pretty Reckless have been AC/DC’s main support during their recent leg of the PWR/UP tour, but, similar to the St. Louis stop, a scheduling conflict arose.

The Taylor Momsen-led band is scheduled to perform at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif. on October 1, the night before AC/DC plays MetLife Stadium and two nights before they also perform at the Power to the People Festival in Columbia, Md.

Just last month, Foo Fighters filled in for The Pretty Reckless when Momsen agreed to front a Soundgarden performance during the opening game of the NFL season when the Seattle Seahawks faced the New England Patriots.

About the Foo Fighters’ and The Pretty Reckless’ Schedules

Foo Fighters have been touring in support of their Your Favorite Toy album recently. The band was already planning to be in the area for the Power to the People Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. on Sunday (October 3). They will conclude their current U.S. run on October 4 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Ct. before taking a full month off from touring.

They will resume on November 5 in Brisbane, Australia for a series of shows “down under” in November, followed by three dates in New Zealand that will kick off their 2027 tour in January. For all upcoming shows and ticketing information, visit the band’s website.

The MetLife show in East Rutherford will wrap up AC/DC’s current tour leg. However, The Pretty Reckless will finish out 2026 with performances in Europe and the U.K. before starting 2027 in January in India supporting Foo Fighters. For ticketing information and all stops, check their website.
