As Emma puts it, the “busy bits are fun too.” She emphasized that navigating the ups and downs in life is more enjoyable when she and Alan are together.

“If you find enjoyment in that,” Emma explained. “And you’re able to support each other while doing seemingly stressful things, it’s not so stressful.”

Although it’s only been a year since the pair first debuted their romance with a kiss onstage during the final night of last year’s DWTS live tour, Alan and Emma are showing that they’re committed for the long term.

Emma, 37, expressed her excitement for her future with Alan, 32, in a recent birthday tribute to her boyfriend.

“You are a pure soul, and my favorite thing to do is laugh with you. I hope we get to do more of that throughout our lives together,” she wrote in a May 26 Instagram post. “I already know the things that you want and desire are either already yours or will inevitably come to you, so what I wish for you on this birthday is to continue following your happiness wherever that leads you. I know you will! I love you.”
